Delete your account
You can request deletion of your KlarFort account at any time, with or without the app installed.
This page exists so that you can delete your KlarFort account and the data we hold for it without first installing the app. It is the public deletion-request channel referenced in our Privacy Policy and required by the Google Play User Data policy.
Two ways to delete your account
1. From inside the app (fastest)
If the app is installed and you can sign in:
- Open KlarFort and sign in.
- Open Settings.
- Choose Delete Account.
- Confirm. Your active session is severed and the account is removed from our servers.
2. By email (no app required)
If you cannot sign in or do not have the app installed, send a deletion request from the email address tied to your account:

If the email on file is no longer accessible, include enough information for us to identify the account (the original sign-in email, the device platform, and approximate sign-up date). We may ask follow-up questions to confirm identity before deletion.
What is deleted
When your deletion request is processed, the following are removed from our active systems:
- Your account credentials (sign-in identifier and authentication credential).
- Your subscription record on our servers (the store-issued purchase token we held to verify your tier).
- Any push notification delivery token associated with your account.
If you delete from inside the app, any locally stored access token is cleared on the device when the session is severed. KlarFort uses short-lived signed access tokens that are not centrally revocable; once the account is removed, an outstanding token cannot be used to retrieve any account data because there is none, and the token expires naturally on its normal schedule.
The records you created inside the app (your portfolio, custom rules, projects, and similar) live on the device and are not held on our servers, so there is nothing additional for us to delete on the server side. Uninstalling the app removes the on-device records.
What is retained, and for how long
For audit, fraud-prevention, and legal-hold purposes we may retain a minimal record of the deletion event itself:
- The timestamp of the deletion request.
- A hashed identifier with no recoverable personal information.
- Any record we are required to keep to comply with applicable law, court order, or a regulator's request.
This residual record cannot be used to re-create your account and is not used for any other purpose. It is purged on the next routine retention cycle, no later than 12 months after the deletion event.
Backup copies of your account data may exist for up to 90 days after deletion as part of our normal disaster-recovery rotation. After that window the backups are overwritten. Backups are not used for product purposes; they are used only to restore the service in the event of a major incident, and the deleted account would not be restored from them.
Time frame
We aim to remove the account from active systems within five business days of receiving a verifiable request, and always within the statutory limits set by applicable law: typically 30 days under the GDPR (extendable by up to two further months for complex requests with notice to you), and 45 days under the California CCPA / CPRA (extendable by a single further 45 days where reasonably necessary, with notice to you). Backup purges follow the routine cycle above.
Your subscription
Active paid subscriptions are managed by Apple App Store or Google Play, not by KlarFort directly. Deleting your KlarFort account does not automatically cancel a store subscription. To cancel:
- iOS: open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, choose KlarFort, then Cancel Subscription.
- Android: open Google Play, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, choose KlarFort, then Cancel subscription.
If you do not cancel, the store will continue to charge for the subscription on its normal schedule even after the KlarFort account is deleted. Refund requests are handled by the store, not by us.
Restoring an account
Account deletion is permanent. We cannot restore a deleted account. If you sign up again with the same email after a deletion, that is a new account; the original portfolio data lived on the prior device and is not recoverable from our servers.
